Beautiful ivory* and lacquer okimono depicting Raiden, the god of thunder and lightning, seated, holding a staff in his right hand. He is dressed in a kinji and black lacquer cloak, decorated in hiramaki-e with dragons, flowers and foliage, ivory head, hands and feet, eyes inlaid with horn and mother-of-pearl.
