Belt buckle featuring two cabochon tourmalines on a gilded bronze mounting with incised motifs on the back, linked by a hook in the shape of a lion’s head. Marked.

Parallels and comparisons: A ruby belt buckle can be found in the collections of the Palace Museum in Beijing and is reproduced in “The Complete Collection of Treasure of the Palace Museum” (2009, plate 41).
