Cabinet-Bonheur du jour in blackened wood and decorated in European lacquer with animated landscapes in the Chinese taste of gold on a brown background inscribed in oval medallions forming reserves in the center of foliage on the doors and sides.
The recessed upper section, crowned by a removable cut-out pediment, opens with a side drawer and two leaves revealing two compartments, six drawers and two small niches with doors, one of which is darkened with a mirror. The interior is decorated with various landscapes, some of them architectural.
The lower part of the top features a removable pedestal decorated with lacquered landscapes and foliage. It opens with two flaps and a drawer at the front, in which is nestled a swivel shelf forming a secretary. The interior is divided into multiple compartments designed to hold a sewing kit (missing).
The set rests on a console table with curved legs ending in claw feet enclosing balls.
