Lacquered wood case decorated with a junk among birds, flowering branches and a mountain landscape. Opening to two doors in the upper part and revealing five drawers. One drawer in the lower section. The uprights are enhanced by chased copper plates applied as reinforcements. The boat’s appearance is reminiscent of the Portuguese junks that served trade relations between Japan and Portugal during the Nanban trade era.
