Important “Bleu de Hué” porcelain teapot of quadrangular form decorated with a carp moving in seaweed and contemplating the moon.
On the front part of each side of the spout a poem:
“古今同親愛 遠近慕知音. 清香飄满坐 故友遇佳人 . 夀 篆
cổ kim đồng thân ái viễn cận mộ tri âm. thanh hương phiêu mãn tọa cố hữu ngộ giai nhân . thọ triện”
A mark “GIA LONG NIÊN TẠO (made during the reign of Gia Long (1804-1827))” in a circle below the base.

Depth: 7.5 cm
A chip at the spout, a slight crack at the neck. On one side, the carp is slightly missing, possibly due to a slight firing defect.
Comparison: A similar teapot is preserved in the collections of the National Museum of Vietnam in Hanoi, see the showcase of ceramics from the royal cabinet, N°1.
