Large Buddha statue in gilded lacquered wood

Important gilded lacquered wood statue of Buddha seated in dhyanasana on a double lotus pedestal.

Provenance:
Brought back by the current owner’s grandmother on her return from Indochina in the 1950s.

Height: 43 cm

Missing fingers, lower part of the robe missing, numerous chips in the headdress, cracks and missing gilding and lacquer on the face (chin, top of eyes) and back.
