Large covered carp-shaped terrine with the fish shown resting on one side, mouth open, head and tail curved upwards, giving an impression of movement. A smaller fish on the lid forms the catch. The body is finely worked, with the scales and spines of the fins in relief, enameled in shades of iron-red enamel, lending great realism to the piece.
