Important gilded bronze sculpture depicting Hayagriva standing in alidhasana on snakes and supported on a lotiform base. His six arms outstretched and each hand holding an attribute, he is dressed in a tiger skin, a necklace of severed heads and a naga snake draped around his shoulders. His three wrathful bearded heads are each surmounted by a horse’s head in the hair. Sealed base.
Provenance: Colonel Yves Onno, military governor of the Tien Tsin base in the 1930s.
