Important imperial porcelain vase of the so-called ‘phoenix tail’ zhadou form, and with blue-white “Bleu de Hué” decoration of two phoenixes and a lakescape.
Secret mark in white relief on white background: nội phủ thị đoài 內府侍兑 corresponding to porcelains produced for the concubine Đặng Thị Huệ of Lord Trịnh Sâm. (“Inner residence, western enclosure”). On its carved wooden base.
