Large porcelain vase with curved base, swollen belly, flared neck and hemmed lip. The lavish decoration, in blue on a white ground and adopting the Ming-style ‘heaping and piling’ technique, features four-clawed dragons depicted from the front and in profile, moving among flowering branches, blossoming lotus flowers and lingzhi mushrooms on the body. The neck and lower part are decorated with a ruyi frieze. A frieze of stylized lotus petals, ruyi scepters and flowers adorns the base.
