Important wood and duanstone screen the celadon-colored duan stone (duānxī) taking the form of a musical stone or lithophone (Qing, 磬), the surface worked in slight relief with gold highlights of a poem and seals on one side, and bamboo stalks on the other. The lacquered wood mounting features an abundant decoration of cranes in clouds, friezes of flowering scrolls and leiwen.
