Large tripod bronze incense burner in the style of Shi Shou, the handles in the shape of elephant heads, the curved trunk holding a ring and the body adorned with fine silver inlay work featuring dragons chasing the sacred pearl among the waves, one of them with its mouth open displaying gold-inlaid fangs. The neck is embellished with a band of Greek, leiwen applied in a similar technique.
Mark inlaid in silver thread at the base: Shi Shou, a late Ming artist renowned for his work in metals, notably silver-inlaid bronze.
