Polychrome painting
on paper, depicting a horse drinking water under a tree. Bears a signature: Guang Daosheng (1262-1319).

Dim(尺寸). 128 cm x 73 cm.

Guang Daosheng was the wife of Zhao Mengfu (1254-1322), a famous painter and calligrapher of the Song and Yuan eras. An inscription at top right reads: “1st year of Zhizhi 1321, painted at the Da Liang court workshop”。 With a signature: Zhongji, Guang Daosheng, followed by two red artist’s stamps. And several collectors’ stamps.
