Polychrome porcelain wall vase with rectangular cross-section, fully enameled in a sgraffito style and decorated with polychrome foliage and flowers. The openwork base, imitating a pedestal, is enameled in coral and gold lacquer. In the center, a cartouche containing an imperial poem composed by the Qianlong emperor in 1742 and included in the Qianlong yuzhi shiji (imperial compositions of Qianlong) praising the beauty of the present vase.
Under the base, a gold-enameled mark in a six-character line reading: da qing Qianlong nian zhi.

4 mm chip at the handle, very slight loss at the rear right corner of the base.
