Rare agarwood compartment box designed in imitation of a Japanese inro, the case opens with a miniature drawer revealing three rotating compartments. The rim is carved with openwork. One side features two figures seated at an outdoor table. The reverse features an inscription:
‘他日期君何处好,寒流石上一株松’ -Poem by 卢仝(Lu Tong)
Sculptor’s signature and stamp: 徐方来(Xu fanglai)
