Rare covered porcelain box decorated in relief with dragons chasing the sacred pearl among the clouds. On the sides, friezes depict bats in the clouds, above the waves.

Mark under the base: Wang Bingrong Zuo. Wang Bingrong was an artist who worked during the reigns of Tongzhi and Guangxu (1862-1908). He gained great renown for his talent as a porcelain sculptor.
