Stoneware Buddha stele. The Buddha is depicted seated with hands clasped in dharmacakra mudra, the gesture of teaching, his feet resting on a base with double offset lotus petals. The serene face, aquiline nose and fleshy mouth are typical of 12th and 13th century Burmese iconography.
