Tangka in tempera on cotton depicting the Tsongkhapa Lama seated on a lotus throne surmounting a richly decorated square base. He is dressed in a long monastic robe and his hands are held in front of his chest in a dharmachakra mudra imitating the action gesture of the wheel of the law.

Provenance: Collection of Baron de X. Military diplomat attached to the British General Staff, who took part in the China, Cochinchina and Annam campaigns between 1854 and 1863. Then by descent in the family.
